Compatible With Most Vape Kits
Freebase 50-50 e-liquids are blended using a balanced ration of PG and VG, this means they are compatible with a very wide range of beginner and intermediate vape kits, particularly pod kits and pen vapes. This makes life easier, especially when new to vaping, as you won't have to learn lots about ohms and watts to start vaping, or pay out a fortune for expensive vape tech - just aim for any kit running low watts and a coil rated between 0.8 and 1.2ohms+ and you'll be in the right ballpark!

50-50 vape juice is named as such because it is mixed specifically to contain a balanced ration of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerol (VG) - the ingredients responsible for carrying flavour and delivering vapour and nicotine.

This type of e-liquid is thinner in consistency than 70-30 'High VG' vape juice, which is designed specifically for higher powered sub-ohm vape kits which have coils rated at 0.6ohm and below, designed to absorb the thicker e-liquid. 50-50 e-liquid can be used at lower wattage outputs and with coils rated at circa 1.0ohm and above.

50-50 e-liquid is considered the "standard/normal" e-liquid type but can contain either freebase nicotine or nicotine salts depending on your preference.

EDGE Core e-liquids contain the following ingredients:

Propylene Glycol (PG) -
A colourless & flavourless base liquid with the consistency of water, used in the manufacture of many foods and medicines. In e-liquid, it acts as a flavour carrier and helps the ingredients form a stable mixture.

Vegetable Glycerol (VG) -
A colourless and mostly flavourless base with the exception of a slight sweetness and a thick consistency. It is used to make many household consumables like medicines and food. In e-liquid, it acts as a secondary flavour carrier and produces the vapour clouds we inhale.

Freebase Nicotine -
Nicotine molecules are freely suspended in a PG base diluted to 7.2% to allow us to accurately dose our e-liquid batches and deliver different strengths. freebase nicotine has a throat hit that many vapers enjoy, however, if you don't like this aspect then nic salt vape juice like our Bar Salt range offers a smoother alternative.

Freebase nicotine is the most commonly used nicotine for vaping. It consists of nicotine particles freely suspended in PG, which makes it easy to mix into stable e-liquid recipes. Our nicotine is diluted to 7.2% in PG, which allows us to accurately calculate our different nicotine strength doses. Nicotine is naturally alkali, which is why it hits our throats when inhaled as a vapour or cigarette smoke. Nic salts do not have this throat hit, whereas freebase does. If you prefer that slight hit when vaping, freebase nicotine is for you.

EDGE Core is a 50-50 e-liquid range, which means it is thinner in consistency than High-VG vape liquids. As such, it works best when paired with vape kits using coils rated at 1.0ohm+ as these will have smaller wicking ports that the thinner e-liquid can easily absorb into to ensure consistent performance.

As the EDGE Core range uses freebase nicotine, it is advised to use vape kits at lower power outputs (wattage) to avoid extreme throat hits at higher nicotine strengths. Any beginner or intermediate pod or pen vape kit should serve you well when using EDGE Core or indeed any 50-50 freebase vape juice.

If sticking to our recommended vape kit/coil style you will likely be using a coil rated at approximately 1.0ohms - in most cases, a wattage range of 10-20watts should suit your needs and deliver a smooth vape.

There are of course exceptions to this rule depending on your flavour type, chosen device settings, and personal preference - if in doubt, check your device/coil or their manuals/packaging, in almost all cases they will advise a suitable wattage range for your tech.

The upcoming vape ban set to take effect from June 2025 will not affect 10ml vape liquids like the EDGE Core range. The ban will specifically target single-use disposable vapes like Elf Bar, SKE Crystal, Geek Bar, and Elux products.

It is not yet known if the Tobacco and Vapes Bill will include restrictions on packaging and flavour type, however none of the flavours in the EDGE Core range currently fall within the scope of concerns driving the new restrictions.
