And back then, they were the only option available unlike today where you can get nicotine salt e-liquids as well as standard 50/50 freebase. Freebase nicotine e-liquids have the widest variety of nicotine strengths available which can cater to all levels of nicotine dependency for people on their quitting journey. 50/50 refers to the ratio of Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol which is used to make the base mixture for the e-liquid. This base mixture is what not only carries the flavour of your e-liquid but also the nicotine as well as producing the vapour which you inhale and exhale.

By having a balanced ratio of VG & PG, this will produce a subtle amount of vapour as well as giving a smooth throat hit, that can be heightened with the nicotine strength of your e-liquid.

50/50 e-liquid works best with coils that are at least 0.8ohms or higher in resistance and used in either a pen style vape or pod vape kit which are proving to be incredibly popular with vapers around the UK.

EDGE Elite e-liquids are made with four core ingredients, which are;

Vegetable Glycerine (VG): VG works alongside PG as the base mix for any vape juice formula. It's the thicker liquid of the two and this is what helps binds all the ingredients together as well as what produces the clouds of vapour as well as enhancing the flavour of the concentrates used.

Propylene Glycol (PG): PG acts as the carrier of flavour as well as helping stabilize the ingredients. PG is commonly used in a lot of food products as well as medicines.

Freebase Nicotine: Whilst this may not be classed as a "core" ingredient due to nicotine free e-liquids not containing it, nicotine is still included in this list as the majority of e-liquids has it in. Naturally alkaline, nicotine produces a noticeable throat hit when inhaled as vapour or cigarette smoke. Unlike nicotine salts, which provide a smoother experience, freebase nicotine retains this throat hit. If you prefer a slight kick when vaping, freebase nicotine is the ideal choice.

As the EDGE Elite range is mixed at a 50/50 VGPG ratio, we'd recommend pairing any of the Elite e-liquids with a pen vape or pod vape kit providing they use coils rated at 0.8ohms in resistance or higher.
This is so it provides a true mouth-to-lung vape experience, where you'll get a throat-hit effect from the freebase nicotine used, and it'll produce a subtle amount of vapour.

The wattage on your vape kit ultimately comes down to what coils you're using with your device. If it's a 1.0ohm coil, we'd recommend an output of around 10-12 watts if you can set the wattage yourself. However many vape kits will not have adjustable wattage settings but instead the device has a smart chip installed which automatically sets the wattage output based on the coil housed inside the vape pod or vape tank.

As you may be aware, there is a disposable vape ban coming to the UK in June of this year (2025) but this will not effect the sale of our EDGE Elite 10ml e-liquids. The ban is aimed at ending the supply and sale of single use disposable vapes such as Elf Bars or Geek Bars.

Whilst the future of 10ml e-liquid flavours is currently unknown, there has been talks of restricting the flavours of e-liquids sold at retail, but nothing has been set in stone so as it stands, EDGE Elite 10ml will remain being able to be sold as normal.
