Packing Your Vaping Essentials In Your Suitcase
Correctly packing your vape kits and vape juice is a crucial part of the process which you must get right, or else you could end up losing it before you've even left the country!
It's a relatively straightforward process when it comes to packing your vape kits in your suitcase. If your vape kit has an internal battery which cannot be removed from the device, this must stay with you either in your hand luggage or on your person when you go through security checks.
Any vape kits with an internal battery must not be placed in your bigger suitcases that go into the luggage hold part of a plane. This is because the pressure within the hold could cause the battery to combust and pose a serious fire risk.
If your device has external/removable batteries, then you can remove the batteries from your device and put them in a carry case (normally made from hard plastic to protect the batteries) and these can be put into your hold luggage, or into your hand luggage that stays with you when you board the plane.
We would recommend keeping your vape juice bottles in your hand luggage, providing they are smaller than 100ml as this will give you easy access to them should you need to top up your vape pod or tank when enjoying a pre-flight vape outside of the airport.
Airline Regulations for Vaping When Flying
According to our research, we could not find any airline that permits the use of e-cigarettes when you are flying on board their aircraft. No matter the airline or country you fly from, you cannot vape on a plane!
Vaping Laws In The Country You're Travelling To
Staying on the right side of the law in the country you're travelling to is something you must do to ensure your holiday goes without any disruption or problems, and the laws on vaping do tend to differ from country to country.
For example, Thailand and Singapore consider vaping illegal and if caught in possession of a vape device or if you're caught using a vape, you could face a hefty fine as well as a prison sentence which is pretty daunting to think about!
Countries in Europe like Germany, Spain and Italy are a little more relaxed when it comes to vaping rules, with vaping being permitted in some cafes or restaurants at the owner's discretion. We would always advise checking with the staff before you use your e-cigarette.
Check the laws on vaping in the country you're flying to before you travel as this will give you full education on everything you need to know and stop you from landing yourself on the wrong side of the law!
Choosing the Right Vape for Travelling
Choosing the right vape to take on holiday is something you want to get right, especially if you are travelling to somewhere that doesn't have many local vape shops like France for example.
We would recommend getting a vape device which has a large internal battery that will give you all day charge so that you can use your vape when you're out exploring the sights and culture of your holiday destination, or if you're soaking up the rays by the pool or on the beach without having to worry about taking a portable charger with you.
Another key thing to consider would be using a vape kit that has durable and long-lasting coils as these should last you for the duration of your holiday, and it saves you having to look around for a vape shop in the hope they sell the specific replacement coils that you need.
The Vaporesso Xros Pro makes for an excellent device to take on holiday with you, as not only does it have a long lasting 1300mah battery, it also has fast charge capabilities meaning it can charge from 5% to 100% in just over 30 minutes!
The coils have been specifically designed to be durable and long lasting with mesh coil technology used in every coil and the expected life span of a coil in the Xros Pro pod is around 7-10 days, which is perfect if you're having a short break or even a long break as you'll only need to take a couple of spare pods with you just incase!
Managing Vape Juice and Disposable Vapes Supplies For Your Trip
Prior to travelling for your holiday, it is well worth checking the rules and regulations regarding vaping in the country that you're travelling to, as there are several countries which are popular tourist spots which have fairly strict rules on vaping within their country.
The Netherlands has recently introduced a vape juice flavour ban. Only tobacco flavour vape juices that are made with ingredients from the Government's approved list can be made and sold in the country of Holland, so bear this in mind if you're planning on going and don't enjoy tobacco flavour vape juices as this will be your only option if you need a top up!
In Turkey, vaping is legal but the sale and importation of vape juice as well as vape devices is considered illegal so you won't be able to find any vape shops to buy from.
Portugal has introduced a licence-to-sell approach for disposable vapes, with a large majority of shops choosing not to seek approval to sell disposable vapes due to the costs and rigmarole involved with it.
Some countries in Europe such as Italy and Germany have also introduced a tax levy on 10ml bottles of e-liquid making them considerably more costly than the £2.50 price you can buy them from here at EDGE Vaping.
You must take all of this into account when it comes to travelling abroad if you're a vaper, as you'll want to pack smart and ensure that you have enough vape juice to last you for the duration of your trip.
