Whilst they offer a convenient, no hassle approach to vaping due to the fact they don't require any type of maintenance to keep up with like changing coils or refilling with vape juice, they do work out a very expensive way to vape.

So you're going to be spending £6 every day or every other day at least just on disposable vapes totalling at least £30 every week which works out to be a costly way to vape and also counter-intuitive due to vaping being significantly cheaper than the cost of smoking.

Announced late last year (2024) by new UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, disposable vapes are set to be banned from sale in the UK as of June 1st 2025. From this date, it will be illegal for businesses to sell or supply, offer to sell or supply, or have in their possession for sale or supply all single-use or ‘disposable’ vapes.

This was a long time coming as plans to enact this ban were first introduced by former PM Rishi Sunak as part of his "Stopping The Start" campaign and this was carried forward by the new Labour Government which took control of the UK when the election took place.

As with most bans, there is a grace period for shops to sell through remaining stock and we are currently in that period, with it coming to an end as of June 1st this year. At the time of writing this, it's almost six weeks away which really isn't long in the grand scheme of things!

You might be wondering how you're going to be able to continue to vape once disposable vapes are banned, but fear not as there's many ways you can prepare yourself for the impending disposable vape ban.

There's a few things to carefully consider when finding an alternative as we will explain below in the next section of this blog.
