EDGE Vaping In 2024 - A Year In Review

As 2024 draws to a close in the coming weeks, we wanted to take this time to reflect on what has been an incredible year for us here at EDGE Vaping.

2024 saw a lot of expansion within the EDGE e-liquid ranges as well as new 3rd party vape devices being made available to buy from our online vape shop and everything we've introduced has been a hit with our customers as we've sold over half a million bottles of EDGE e-liquid this year!

New Ranges Added To EDGE Bar Salts

We launched Bar Salts at the tail end of 2023 and they proved to be an instant hit with our customers which is why we wanted to expand the range to offer more flavours to suit everyone's flavour preference.

Bar Salts is our range of nicotine salt e-liquids, made using double flavour concentrates alongside our smooth and satisfying nicotine salt base to provide an all round incredible vape juice! The original Bar Salts range features over 15 different flavours, isnpired by the popular flavours of disposable vape brands such as Elf Bar and Lost Mary BM600.

Throughout the course of this year, we launched a few new ranges within the Bar Salts and they certainly have proven themselves by being a big hit! Read on to learn more about each new range which has been launched this year.

Not only did we add 3 new flavours to the range, we also introduced lower nicotine strengths for certain flavours to ensure that we cater to all individual nicotine needs.

0mg and 3mg nicotine strengths are now available in the EDGE Core range which is perfect if you're wanting to begin lowering your nicotine strength and still use our incredible vape juices!

Vaping Headlines in 2024

There were some very significant news stories which broke throughout the course of 2024 which is set to change the vaping landscape as we know it in the coming years. We've picked out the key events that happened in 2024 below, and linked our feature blogs regarding these issues which you can read to learn more about these news stories!

Disposable Vapes To Be Banned From June 2025

Arguably the most significant announcement relating to vaping this year was the official date for when disposable vapes are set to be banned from sale here in the UK.

Announced in October of this year by our new Labour Government, disposable vapes will be banned from sale in the UK as of June 1st 2025. This announcement was the beginning of the sell through period for retailers and the troublesome brightly coloured vape devices which have bought their fair share of criticism and controversy to the vaping world will be no longer available to buy from June 2025.

Scotland were the first to take action, initially announcing their ban coming into effect as of April 1st 2025, but have aligned with the rest of the UK to form a complete blanket ban of sale across the whole country.

UK Vape Tax Announced For 2026

Announced as part of the Autumn Budget by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, there will be a "levy tax" introduced to bottles of vape liquids.

A whopping 22p per ml tax will be put on bottles of e-liquid sold in the UK as of October 2026. This announcement certainly caused it's fair share of outcries and controversy as vape retailers and vapers around the UK voiced their concerns on this tax.
